Beaconsfield Keeps the Dream Alive

Hey everyone,

We had a good game this week-end and here's the write-up.

31-5 over Parc Olympique

Red and black triumphed over blue this week in a well played match. We started one of the strongest backs lines we’ve had since Quebec City and things worked out very well.

We began the game in true Beaconsfield fashion with a try early on by our forwards which made the coaches happy and nervous right away. The game went according to plan almost the entire time with only brief moments of high school play surfacing during the last quarter.

Unfortunately the visiting team took the cheers of “ALLEZ LES BLEUES” too seriously and didn’t make it back to our club house. This is especially unfortunate because we were going to sing our brand new Beaconsfield song for them:

Sang to the beat of Ludacris’ “I got hoes in different area codes”

A song, a song to honour our guests
A song because we’ve been monstrous pests
To invite you out only to prove we’re best
We will sing this song to honour our guests (chorus)

We showed you how your scrums were loose
The tries we scored were 5 points proof
Your pack is now beaten and bruised
And it’s all because your scrums were loose

(chorus)

We work so hard to make big hits
Run at practice ‘till our clothes don’t fit
Our coach only says we “push like tits”
But we work so hard to make those hits

(chorus)

Our mauls are like a never ending drive
When we stop we just roll to a side
Doesn’t it seem like a long car ride?
Those mauls that are like a never ending drive

(chorus)

Our backs too, do have some flair
But it seems sometimes like a vanity fair
They spend too much time on highlights for their hair
But our backs too do have some flair

(chorus)

The Maiden Voyage

It is thoroughly interesting just how easy it was to do this, start a blog I mean. I can only assume that there must be an excessive amount of garbage on the internet and having spent the better part of the morning looking for it, I think I've found a better way.

I promise that anything posted here won't be garbage unless it's funny. For example there's the fact that the main attraction in starting this blog was to make the google searches for myself more interesting than my friend Zoe's google searches for herself.

I believe that's enough for now, I will have more on Monday. Monday teaser: Beaconsfield Rugby RFC game report by Roger Dodger!
